Sorry ladies, PEOPLE’s Hottest Bachelor Chace Crawford already has a special woman in his life to help decorate his brand new bachelor pad: His mom. He’s also not the only Gossip Girl actor on the move. He and his mother actually ran into costar Penn Badgley on a recent trip to look for lamps at Crate and Barrel. “He was with his mom shopping for his new place, too,” Crawford told PEOPLE at a Manhattan launch party for the BlackBerry Tour smartphone from Sprint. “It was really funny. I was like, ‘What are we doing here, man?’ And he’s like, ‘I don’t know. Right now it looks like we came together with our moms to Crate and Barrel. What’s going on?’ It was embarrassing.” But Crawford, who moved out of the apartment he shared with Ed Westwick – also recently spotted furniture shopping – says his new digs are coming along. “I’ve got a nice leather couch and a leather chair. The big flat-screen TV came in today, and I hung it up. As long as there’s a good couch and a good TV, that’s all I need,” he said. It’s a good thing he’s got a place to relax. Leighton Meester and her boyfriend Sebastian Stan may not be friendly on Gossip Girl, but in real life he feels fortunate to be in a relationship with the star. “I’m a really lucky guy,” Stan, 25, told reporters at the premiere of Taking Woodstock in New York City on Thursday. “She’s the most interesting, sophisticated, talented and an extremely funny person that I know. She’s really hilarious.” Though Stan gives his costar Ed Westwick the evil eye when his character Chuck Bass gets to make out with Meester’s Blair Waldorf, it’s all in jest — and he says everyone on set is professional when it comes to romantic scenes. “It’s work and everyone shares the same mentality when it comes to that. But we all laugh about it,” he says. “The good part is I get to go home with her.” Besides, Stan gets his own kissing scenes with Blake Lively in the upcoming third season, which returns Sept. 14. In preparation, the actor skips the breath mints and goes for an unconventional route of eating fruit before he puckers up. “I try to stick to apples and pears that get stuck in my teeth to get it more interesting,” he said. Stan says that when his character Carter Baizen’s background is revealed, it will stir up some trouble among the Upper East Siders — and especially Lively’s Serena van der Woodsen. “They are revealing his history and where he comes from,” says Stan. “His whole background involves Serena’s character and it’s different from the other relationships on the show.” source: people.com |

Spotted: Some serious fierceness on the Upper East Side. Sources confirm that Tyra Banks has signed on to appear on Gossip Girl this fall — and she’s not playing herself. The model-turned-media mogul will guest as an actress co-starring in a film with Hilary Duff’s character. Banks is scheduled to show up in episode 4.
