Gossip Girl stars Chace Crawford and Jessica Szohr were named as one of stars playing in DirecTV’s Celebrity Beach Bowl, a flag-football game that is part of the weekend activities in the Miami area surrounding the Super Bowl. The game takes place Feb. 6, the day before the Super Bowl. According to the satellite-TV provider, the game will feature former NFL pros Troy Aikman and Warren Moon as quarterbacks of the two teams. A co-ed game, the Beach Bowl takes place in the sand with teams of seven. A post-game concert featuring the All-American Rejects begins at 3:30 p.m. The festivities can be seen by DirecTV viewers on the 101 Network. |

When “Gossip Girl” hunk Ed Westwick has to go potty, he apparently has no problem in doing it in front of many people. OK! Magazine has recently brought up the news that at a recent party, the actor who plays Chuck Bass on The CW’s teen drama has peed in a bush under the watchful eyes of others. “There was an outside area at the party and only two porta-potties,” an eyewitness recalled the time the boyfriend of Jessica Szohr ditched proper toilet. “When Ed saw the huge, long line, he said ‘f*** this,’ jumped over a wall and peed in a bush.” The witness went on to say, “You could see him standing there with his back to everyone.” Not stopping there, the observer mentioned that some celebrities bared witness to the act. “Everyone was quite impressed with his balls,” the source stated, adding, “He was standing there in front of everyone – Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Kate Bosworth and Ashley Olsen.” |

Gossip Girl Season Three to Return March 8, Feature 22 Episodes Total The current Season Three of Gossip Girl will be comprised of 22 episodes, not 24-25 as has been previously reported by some sources, according to updated CW scheduling. The network has been far from clear in its lineup jockeying to this point, but we can now confirm that Gossip Girl returns from a nearly three-month hiatus Monday, March 8. It will air 10 consecutive Mondays at 9 p.m. starting then. A dozen (mostly solid) episodes of the show aired last fall, also all in succession, bringing the season total to 22. While the show’s devoted fans are getting impatient, and would prefer the show air 52 weeks a year, the 10 remaining episodes this year will surely provide plenty of drama. source: TVFanatic.com Casting News Trish McEvoy is set to make a cameo on Gossip Girl this March as the makeup artist backstage at Eleanor Waldorf’s fashion show. source: NYMag.com |

Director Joel Schumacher says the ‘Gossip Girl’ star was ‘just right’ for the gritty role.
That quick transaction might have more than a little something to do with the talents and public profile of the “Gossip Girl” star, who gets his first chance to take on a gritty, mature role in “Twelve.” Based on a novel by Nick McDonell, the indie flick has Crawford playing White Mike, a teenage dropout whose mother has just died and who is selling drugs to his ex-classmates on the gleaming streets of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. In a conversation earlier this week at Sundance, director Joel Schumacher explained to MTV News why the young actor was perfect for the part. “Chace is very intelligent, comes from a really fine family,” he said. “There’s an old soul in him somewhere. He could play the grieving really well. There are a few scenes of anger. He was just right for the part, and the camera loves him. He does a lot with very little, and that’s the essence of a good actor.” |

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.
“She really has an extra responsibility to bear as an actress idolized by little girls out there,” Patrick Reynolds, the director of the Foundation for a Smoke-Free America, tells UsMagazine.com. “For her to be smoking sends the wrong message to kids. Evidence shows that stars do influence kids to smoke.” Not that Momsen thinks too much about what her young fans may think of her. |

Leonardo DiCaprio, Edward Norton, Chace Crawford, Jason Bateman and others are echoing Obama’s State of the Union call for a clean energy future in a new online campaign today called “This is Our Moment”. The NRDC Acton Fund worked with these celebs (Leo is an NRDC Trustee) to inspire people to make their voices heard-by contacting their senators, making & sharing their own videos and asking for passage of an American clean energy bill. |
