Blake Lively bares her legs for Esquire’s sexy February 2010 cover spread. Hot!!!

The 22-year-old Gossip Girl actress next stars in the feature film, The Town, directed by Ben Affleck. In the mag, Ben showers Blake with praise: “The whole movie kind of hinges in a lot of ways on her performance, and I knew it was going to be the hardest part to cast. This girl came in, and no one had said to me beforehand, ‘Hey, look for this person.’ And obviously she was really attractive, and so I thought, Oh, here comes some blond girl. She came in, did one reading, and just crushed it. Like, Boston accent — really good. I was sort of stunned. I said, ‘Jeez, you know, that was really f—ing good. Who are you?’ She didn’t mention that she was on a television show.”

Ben continued, “I just said, ‘Look, there’s no alternative. I don’t have a second choice [in casting this role].’ …I want to be on the record because I think she’s really going to blow up, and I want to look like the smart guy. I didn’t quite discover her, but at least I want to say I bought the stock when it wasn’t $500 a share.”

The 24-year-old Gossip Girl actress describes her co-star (and real-life boyfriend) Ed Westwick as “a wonderful guy, extremely handsome, and has an accent.”

As for the luxurious lifestyle of some of the characters on Gossip Girl, Jessica admits that a brief escape to this world isn’t such a bad thing. She shared, “In Wisconsin, we had to pay for our cars, we didn’t have champagne at our proms. During the show, you get a few moments to not think about your own life, it offers a fantasy as well as real relationships.”

Jessica Szohr Plays it Cool
With her eclectic style, down-to-earth attitude, and off-screen romance with Ed Westwick, it’s clear why Gossip Girl’s Jessica Szohr has the whole town talking.

Every so often, someone will stop Jessica Szohr on the street to tell her that she looks “just like” Vanessa from Gossip Girl. When they do, the actress usually responds with a friendly, “I get that.” (Slightly tougher to take are the clueless types who say she resembles a certain TV star—only “cuter.” Because, really, she wonders, “what is that supposed to mean?”) A little confusion, though, is understandable: When the 24-year-old turns up for her Teen Vogue interview at a très chic West Village gastro-pub, she’s swaddled in sweaters. Her thick, dark hair is pulled into a ponytail and she’s wearing very little makeup. She’s beautiful, to be sure, but she lacks the bleached-blonde, high-gloss, look-at-me exterior so common among young female celebrities.
